A one price selling structure is relatively new to the automotive business, but it is not new to our everyday buying experiences. Retail stores and grocery stores have been doing business this way for years. There is no negotiation over price; the selling price is marked clearly on the product.

Customers had been telling us that they dislike the traditional process of buying a vehicle. They dislike the sales pressure they feel, and do not like to negotiate. We asked ourselves, "Is it possible to sell a vehicle without negotiating?" We studied other successful true one price dealerships around the country and found it does work! If the dealership maintains the utmost integrity, their customers and employees love the stress-free atmosphere.

How do I know the price is fair?

By talking with friends and shopping around you will see that our prices are fair. We do a lot of research before we set a price on a vehicle. We shop the competition for you to know that we are offering our best possible price; we attend auctions around the United States to know costs; we use guide books on used cars to give us the average price; and we use market demand and reconditioning costs to arrive at a fair price.

What's the gimmick with a one price dealership?

There is no gimmick. We strongly believe it is the right way to sell vehicles. Our customers also feel great about our one price philosophy. It is the most fair and honest way for us to give you the best value, with no pressure.

How does Schwieters Chevrolet make money on this concept?

Our high volume of sales allows us to give our customers the very best value. We increase our customer base by selling more cars, so our other departments, such as service, parts and body shop, grow as well.

Will another dealer give me more for my trade in?

They probably will not if you look at the total picture. Traditional dealerships will have to know what you are buying before they will give you the value of your trade in. The larger the rebate and mark up on the vehicle you are buying, the more they will show you for your trade. Just ask them if they will write you a check for the trade in amount even if you do not buy a car from them. Schwieters Chevrolet will write you a check for your trade in even if you do not buy a vehicle from us! Simply put, it should not matter what you are buying, if you are spending $200 or $20,000, your trade is worth the same to us.

How does leasing work with One Price Selling?

It is no different. Our best price is used when calculating the lease payment.

Are things like factory rebates reflected in the price?

Yes. We show the Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price (MSRP or sticker price), less any factory rebates, less your Schwieters Chevrolet discount, on all vehicles.

Is there any sales pressure at Schwieters Chevrolet?

No. We encourage our customers to take their time, select the proper vehicle, and shop the competition if they wish.
